Founder of Ruah

I started Ruah because finding someone to trust with your home is one of the hardest searches a family makes. For many families around me, Chinese families especially, it happened in WeChat groups, by word of mouth, with no way to know who was on the other side. Caregivers had it no easier: good people waiting for a message that often never came.

I have stood on both sides of that search. As an undergraduate I worked as a caregiver; later I did the hiring for a household, and learned how hard it is to know whom to trust. I am now a graduate student in computer science at the University of Pennsylvania, concentrating in artificial intelligence, and Ruah is where I put what I learned on both sides, and what I know about building software, to work.
